Our organization celebrated Bridge Day by doing a clean up at three local bridges that span McKissic Creek and Ford Spring. Both of these small creeks feed into the Little Sugar Creek in Benton County. We had a grand time with so many of our little volunteers!
Wonderful Waterways spent time keeping our waterways clean and beautiful at the Lake Elmdale public access area. This is an area that we often monitor as there are no public waste receptacles and waste is frequently discarded here.
This was our first floating river clean up and it was so much fun! Gracie's Canoe Camp hosted our volunteers and helped coordinate the drop off and pick up of our volunteers. We cleaned up more than a ton of waste in only 3 miles of the Elk River! We are so thankful for our volunteers and Gracie's for making this happen!
This rainy morning was spent partnered with IRWP and Herroncrest Event Center. Even with the event cut short due to lightning we still had a great turn out and progress!
3rd Annual Illinois River clean up hosted by and completed in partnership with IRWP. Our crew covered the Chamber Springs area and overall we had so many volunteers for this event!
